CATRICE Ultimate Camouflage Cream + GRIP PUTTY PRIMER Overview Review 2022 | Lillee Jean Beauty
Upon the new launching of Catrice's NEW Ultimate Camouflage Cream, and Grip & Last Putty Primer, I fell in LOVE with their cruelty-free, vegan, paraben-free, as well as gluten-free approach, and motif. I mean, that's awesome! In 2021, they launched their True Skin collection, my review is here, and equally, I really found the lineup to be excellent, and super adaptable to everyday usage.
As background, for my web series, Lillee Jean TALKS! live, I only use the highest quality of products. To me, surpassing price, "highest quality" refers to ingredients, and, how WELL the product holds up through talking non-stop, and the way it makes my dry skin look. Read on below to see my initial thoughts on this new product line-up, and how it interacts with my filming schedule, as well as daily routine.
Grip & Last Putty Primer
The Grip & Last Putty Primer retails for $9.00, which is highly reasonable! The idea is to smooth pores, BUT, provide a tacky base, too.
According to Catrice,
"[this is a] skin perfecting solid primer that evens out pores and imperfections while giving your makeup serious staying power! Use for perfect grip to support all-day make-up wear." - Catrice Cosmetics US
The package comes with a hygenic spatula, and instructions to "apply directly to face after moisturizer, using the integrated applicator for hygenic use." I must say, that does capture me, since we live in a COVID-era, and it has made me, personally, far more alert to keeping my products more sanitary. I discuss that a bit in this video.
Feeling wise, the putty is lovely to touch, and, glides right around like a soft powder, with a bit of grip. For dry skin, perhaps this wouldn't be my top option to choose for prep & priming, however, I found my skin reacted quite okay to the smooth coating, and no dry patches are glorified, negatively. I can see, for those with oily skin, or combo skin, this product being a HUGE hit. Price-wise, and texture-wise, all is a YES.
Isododecane, Cera Microcristallina (Microcrystalline Wax), Isononyl Isononanoate, Kaolin, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Calcium Carbonate, Talc, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Glyceryl Caprylate, C10-18 Triglycerides, Aluminum Hydroxide, Ci 77491 (Iron Oxides), Ci 77492 (Iron Oxides), Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide).
Ultimate Camouflage Concealer
This was VERY MUCH up my alley. Being someone who practices French beauty, mixed with a bit of K-Beauty influence, I love a good high-impact concealer, since you end up using less on your skin, foundation, and powder-wise, in the long run.
The new Ultimate Camouflage Cream retails at $6.00 a pot, and has 8 shades, along with 2 correctors.
According to Catrice,
"The Ultimate Camouflage Cream has a very high opacity, is long-lasting, does not slip and is a miracle weapon for concealing impurities and redness. In addition, it is non-comedogenic, available in several shades and now formulated vegan!" - Catrice Cosmetics USA
For me, N Ivory 010, was a perfect blend, with the camo cream in peach being a nice color corrector! One thing I didn't know is this line is actually reformulated to be cleaner, better, and more effective, the "Wake-Up Effect Concealer", as they call it. I found the product to perform as it's supposed to. A densely packed cream, like Cover FX, to be only controlled on blemishes, or, hard-to-cover spots! The product DID just that, and, wasn't oily, just satin, and skin-like.
Shade 10 (the one I used):
shade 10: HYDROGENATED POLYDECENE, COCO-CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE, ORYZA SATIVA (RICE) CERA, ALUMINUM STARCH OCTENYLSUCCINATE, BIS-DIGLYCERYL POLYACYLADIPATE-2, RICINUS COMMUNIS (CASTOR) SEED OIL, EUPHORBIA CERIFERA (CANDELILLA) WAX, TALC, POLYGLYCERYL-3 DIISOSTEARATE, ORYZA SATIVA (RICE) BRAN OIL, SILICA, AQUA (WATER), GLYCERIN, ALUMINA, PHENOXYETHANOL, CI 77491 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77492 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE).
Hydrogenated Polydecene, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Cera, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Mica, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Silica, Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Alumina, Phenoxyethanol, Ci 77491 (Iron Oxides), Ci 77492 (Iron Oxides), Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide).
Overall, these products are studio effects quality, and I can't wait to continue using, and perhaps testing out in my next videos to come! Well done, Catrice.
