It's that time of year again my friends! That time when it's a short spell to bring out the tinsel and spread further joy and cheer. Our style must also change, too, it's obvious! To help you update your wardrobe with classic holiday fashion style pieces, we've compiled some of our favorites. For instance, red pants are a classic holiday piece and can be easily worn with anything from a basic sweater to a fancy pair of shoes. Be sure to see our recent post on sustainable fashion.

One Statement Piece

You don't need 1,000s of items in your wardrobe. You need GOOD items in your wardrobe of good material, and versatility. A statement piece can be a dress, a jacket, or a pair of shoes. Make sure to invest in quality pieces that you can wear in many different ways. Don't be afraid to mix and match them with different pieces you already have in your wardrobe! I personally love a statement of pants or a black blazer.

Color and texture are your friend

Color and texure are your friends. Don't be shy to experiment! Play with different colors and textures to create a visually appealing look. Don't be afraid to take risks; sometimes unexpected combinations can be really effective. For the holidays a rose/gold or silver metallic shoe could pair amazingly with equal sides on the color wheel. Red for rose gold, purple for gold, and silver with red, blue, and any color under the sun! Experiment until you find something that makes you happy!

One Turtleneck Chunky Sweater

There is no doubt that this is a huge suggestion! Make sure that you have one turtleneck that is made of cashmere or a blend of cashmere and merino wool. The turtleneck chunky sweater will be easy to tuck in, toss over, and will scream the holidays during the season. Make sure to get one in a solid color and pick a size that is slightly oversized. This will ensure that the sweater looks fashionable and stylish, and will keep you warm and comfortable during the cold winter months.

Thigh High Boots

Creating a timeless look differs from everyone's opinion. I personally think a good pair of thigh high boots either riding or, skin-tight black with a little heel, are a holiday classic. For example, a dress or skirt that hits just above the knee, with tights, would work perfectly! You could also wear a chunky sweater, flared tailored pants, and thigh-high boots underneath. Just be sure to play with color somewhere to complete the look.
