Red To Blonde Hair Color IN ONE WEEK VLOG 2020 | Lillee Jean

Hi Jeaniez! Welcome to my hormonal hair journey, which seems to be a cycle every 3 years (I said 2, but realized it truly is 3). Red, blonde, back to me, this time in a WEEK.

Here is what I did, and please DO NOT FOLLOW MY STEPS I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL HAIR STYLIST, NOR HAIR SPECIALIST. This is just what I did, and what I recorded as a vlog so you guy's could take the viewing journey with me. It's a miracle my hair is fine.

5 days ago, this is what created the mess:

0:02-0:43 | L'Oreal Paris Feria Multi-Faceted Shimmering Permanent Hair Color, R57 Cherry Crush (2)

The Feria, was an issue. I used one bottle. This was blotchy. My mom went out as soon as I started balling my eyes out, because patches of my hair were still *my hair*. She got another box, and so I coated all strands once again. After coating, and washing out, I blow dried with Sun Bum Heat Protector Spray, and finished to a blotchy, VIVID red. The more Feria = the more wig red it became.

0:44-1:11 | Color Oops Developlus Color Oops Color Remover (2 work)

So. We went to my savior, Color Oops, which solves ALL my hair problems without ever drying ends out.

SO THEN I WENT....

1:12-1:28 | L'Oreal Paris Superior Preference Fade-Defying + Shine Permanent #Hair Color, 7 Dark Blonde After color'oopsing away the red pigments. HOWEVER, I had a hard to remove red patch still. If I didn't this color evened out the Color Oops orange really nicely. Like a toner, but make it color.

I washed out with L'Oreal Paris EverPure Purple Sulfate Free Shampoo, which really did nothing, BUT HEY, is really hydrating to the strands. I made sure to condition well with Maui Moisture Thicken & Restore + Bamboo Fibers Shampoo, which is my favorite.

SO THEN WE GOT....

1:28-1:43 | L'Oreal Colorist Secrets Hair Color Remover

THIS WAS THE WORST PRODUCT EVER. It's actually BLEACH, and nothing like Color OOPS, which removes the dye pigments by shrinking them to clear. THIS bleaches the area *light*, and does not remove pigment. I still had red, and this time a patch of light back of my head. GREAT!

1:43-4:51 | Color Oops Developlus Color Oops Color Remover (2 work)

We color oops the L'Oreal off. Hair still in really fine condition. I cut off the ends again.

THEN WE FREAKED.

I masked for a night with: 4:51-7:26 | Shea Moisture African Black Soap Bamboo Charcoal Purification Masque and Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Masque were used. See my masking here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwmgCSaTs-I

BOTH pulled the reddish pigment a LOT (I think it's the bamboo and charcoal), and restored shine, and hydration to hair.

I DID A HAIR TEST.

7:26-7:31 | I was afraid of how bleach would react on my scalp. While I waited for the 30V to come I used the 20V that came with the hair dye. (I had no irritation from the bleach on my scalp by the way).

THEN WE DECIDED TO BLEACH, TO EVEN HAIR OUT

7:31-26:12 | Clairol Bw2 Powder Lightener

Clairol Professional 30 Volume Creme Developer

MASQUE with a Q

26:12-26:20 | I decided to hair mask right after dying with SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate Repair Protein-Strong Treatment, because I got so freaked out. My hair actually felt fine though.

FIX ME!

26:20-27:44 | L'Oreal Paris Excellence Creme Permanent, 8.5A Champagne Blonde

THIS WENT GOOD EXCEPT, Champagne Blonde is not really my color, and was not cool enough to act as a neutralizer for the yellow tones the bleach yielded. The bleaching DID fix our back head problem though.

I MASKED FOR 5 HOURS: SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate Repair Protein-Strong Treatment

THEN APPLIED Coconut Oil, Lavender Oil, Argan Oil, and Almond Seed Oil in that order of mixture to the ends, roots, and shaft.

I FREAKED OUT

27:44-27:56 | I did a camera test and it looked awful. So I re-dyed today, July 1, within 6 hours of having that color to: Garnier Olia Ammonia Free Hair Color Olia 7.0 - Dark Blonde

27:56-30:30 | 7.0 is my natural color, maybe peppered a tad lighter with more gold mixed (my hair has copper and gold mixture, and is SOFTER than how much gold comes off with this color; I'm a level 7).

ONWARD:

My last part which I didn't record is toning! I have to wait to wash my hair with purple shampoo, this way the natural oils kinda build their way back up. This is a SUPER important part.
