Lillee Jean 2018 Saint Patricks Day Pot O’ Gold Shimmery Green & Copper Makeup Look
Since you loves seem to be drawn to that more glam look, especially for such a festive holiday, St. Patrick's day, in this case, I thought as a revamp to my original look, a more dramatic, yet wearable version would be a nice addition to the series! Last year I went for a more monochromatic gold look with a pop of green, but this year it’s all about the glitz and glam. Below I took the liberty of putting together a pictorial for you Jeaniez to follow, as well as taking additional photos that might aid your recreation of this makeup look! I hope all of you enjoy and are having an amazing March xoxo.
On my skin is Cover Fx’s Total Cover Cream Foundation, in N10, along with a light dusting of their “The Perfect Light Highlighting Powder” in Moonlight. Moonlight imparts a peachy silver glow! On my lips is a combination of Buxom Cosmetics new Va-Va Plump Shiny Liquid Lipstick in Taupe It Off, and a bit of Buxom’s Full-On Lip Polish in Dominique. I felt a nice an “in-between” nude would be best suited for such dramatic eye makeup!
With the eye makeup, I went ALL out, which is why I felt adding a pictorial would be most beneficial to you loves, in the terms of following along! First off, I began with doing my brows using Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in the shade of Caramel. At this point, you can choose to add a primer, or do as I did with using a skin toned eyeshadow as a base. Tarte’s Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette is a favorite of mine for base shades, and crease colors since it’s entirely matte! I used ‘Super Mom’ as my base shade, followed by ‘Wanderer’ smoked out in my crease as a base, too. By this point, you should be set and ready to apply COLOR!
Now comes the shimmers! YAY! I actually don’t like the look of typical glitter on me, nor falsies, but honestly, that is no problem, since shimmers are much more captivating, as they’re more dimensional, in my opinion. Shimmers tend to adhere best to sticky bases, so I applied a little of the Too Faced Glitter Glue towards the inner corners of my lids! Once that dried down, I began packing on Revlon’s NEW Color Charge Loose Powder in 105 Copper, with my index finger to my lids directly. This shade is AMAZING, as you can see from the photos above! At this point, if you’d rather glitter, feel free to divert and glitter up. Anyho, from ‘Copper’ I wanted a pot of gold effect, so I took Wet n’ Wild’s Fantasy Makers Glitter Eyeliner in Gold (this came out during Halloween 2017, so if you do not own it, any gold eyeshadow will do), and VERY lightly stroked the color on the wee inner corners of my lids. I then took my ring finger and blended the eyeliner into ‘Copper’! This is a VERY pigmented eyeliner on its own, so I didn’t need to set it with an eyeshadow. Now that half of your eye is all glitzy and glammie, it’s time to glam up the greens! I reached for Maybelline’s The City Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Urban Jungle, and I specifically mixed the two lid shades together and gently patted it on top of the outer thirds of my lids. From there I took the liner shade, which is a DEEP green coated with shimmer, and rubbed it (these are silky, not buttery) across from my upper lash lines, onto the outer thirds, and onto my lower lash lines! I took the liberty of smoking this out with ‘High Tea’ once again, and a PINCH of ‘Corrupt‘ eyeshadow, which is a pure black, for a smokey effect.
