Smokey Blue Gray Makeup Look
Welcome back, Jeaniez! If you’re like me or in general just have warmer undertones, silver is just not your color. It sorta “washes” ya’ out! Sound familiar? For me, I found out the hard way when I tried a glittery icy silver look, and literally faded due to the colors washing my eyes out. However, I am drawn to the mirror ball sparkling color at times. Who isn’t?! Knowing that gunmetal colors on the flip side of things do look amazing on me, I solved my issue by creating a blue/gray sexy look that is the best of both worlds! It is smokey like grays and silvers, yet sharp and divine like nautical blues. I hope you loves enjoy this look as much as I enjoyed creating it XOXO! I am sending my love and kisses for all you cutie bunnies!!
Shea Moisture – 100% Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Foundation is a custom blend, I produced
(used to spot conceal, not as an all over base)
Bite Beauty – Amuse Bouche Liquified Lip – Chutney
Anastasia Beverly Hills – Dipbrow Pomade, Caramel
Makeup Geek Cosmetics – Eyeshadow Pan(s), Nautica (lids)
I slowly pressed this beautiful midnight shimmering blue onto my lids the first time with my fingers, and the second time with a DAMP eye shader brush. It is a very powdery and LOOSE product, hence why I recommend this application method!
Too Faced Cosmetics – Natural Eyes Matte Eyeshadow Pallet, Heaven (all over lids), Cashmere Bunny (crease), Sexpresso (inner v, lower lash lines)
I used these shadows as a “base” guide! Whenever you work with dark colors, especially black, it’s a good idea to have AT LEAST one neutral transitional shade and at least ONE base shade.
Smashbox – Full Exposure Palette: S7 (center of lids), M7 (crease, lower lash lines), M5 (dust over to clean up harsh lines)
Any MATTE black shall do, and any gunmetal color shall do, too! In fact, if you do not have the Full Exposure Palette, the more popular Urban Decay Naked Palette will substitute in fine.
NYX Cosmetics – Jumbo Eye Pencil, Black Bean
Used on the water lines, and as a smoked out base color for the outer crease. I like to dash a few lines DIRECTLY on the outer corners of my lids, then with a clean and sanitized ring finger, I like to go back in with smudging motions! It really builds up the intensity, and makes for beautiful smokey eyes!
L’Oreal Makeup – Voluminous Carbon Black Volume Building Mascara
