Sultry Pink & Maroon Sunset Makeup Look
With all these new eyeshadow palettes coming out, often times I forget about my single eyeshadows. From Makeup Geek to Morphe Brushes, my little babies needed some love today! Using a wide array of hues that reminded me of a setting sun (sunset), I created this sultry makeup look that in my belief ANYONE could pull off. The dusty, yet vivid hues allow people to stare from one detail to the next, and the blended textures yield sensual notes to anyone viewing! I cannot tell you guys HOW many countless compliments I got while wearing this makeup look. It’s truly the bomb.com, and gave me a little insight on why single shadows are truly gems in their own rights.
For my skin, you loves know I use very minimal makeup nowadays! For this look, I used a tad of Shea Moisture’s 100% Extra Virgin Coconut Oil on my skin as a primer, with a few dabbings of my own custom blend foundation on areas containing redness. Especially with a look using pink tones, it’s best to have a CLEAR slate (the skin will accent the eyes)! For a perfectly harmonious look, I suggest to not do very much with the face makeup, and at most I advise you loves to just apply a luminous highlighter.

Alrighty, onto the eye details we go! In this tutorial, I used Makeup Geek’s Peach Smoothie (lids, crease), Burlesque (crease, lower lash lines), and Shimma Shimma (highlight). I also used Morphe Brushes’ Mysterious shadow (crease, lids), along with Mac Cosmetics Coppering (lids) for added dimension, and added color. To sum up the eye look, I smudged on Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color, in Cocoa, and I applied L’Oreal’s Voluminous Carbon Black Volume Building Mascara for voluminous, and DARK lashes! You don’t need falsies to make a statement, my loves. It should be noted I used my usual Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Auburn!
Finishing up, Dose of Colors Liquid Lipstick in Truffle was applied to my lips! This color is PERFECT for any type of sunset makeup look, however, if you’re without any DOC product, try out Mac Cosmetics Shy Girl, or Nyx Cosmetics Sable. Both are warm nudes. Hope you cuties enjoyed this tutorial XOXO! Stay tuned for further blog posts.
